Asanka, a Highlife musician based in Koforidua said the absence of a good management team in his music career has delayed his mission of going global. He said this in an interview granted him on GBC Sunrise FM`s Multi Track Show.
“I want to concentrate on making good songs for the fans out there that keep demanding more from me and leave the managerial aspect to a willing management team to handle”-this is his response when Benjy, the host of the show, asked why management is necessary?
He further explained, that it is the role of management to go into negotiating contracts and fees, finding and booking events and venues that match the artiste`s career strategy, advising on career decision, publicity and promotions, helping him on career decisions such as which record producer to work with, or which songs to perform, and managing media relations on his behalf.
He has released two songs “Obe Kume” featuring Okuraseni Samuel of TV3 Mentor 1 fame and “Baby Jeje”. Currently, he is on set shooting video for both songs.
